Clothing & Toy Drive for Haiyan Survivors (Deadline June 15th)
From today until June 15: LADP / Forex Cargo clothing and toy drive for the social rehabilitation of Haiyan Survivors
Of the almost 85000 Visayan island residents of the Philippines displaced by typhoon Haiyan, most have had only the clothes they had on as they hurriedly left their homes in panicked search of safer grounds. Families are now living in temporary housing shelters provided by the Philippine government, subsidized in part by international charity organizations.
Master Erwin Mosqueda in cooperation with Forex Cargo (https://www.forexworld.us) of Long Beach thru Mr. Epifanio Fernandez (Guro Toy) will be running a used/unused clothing and toy drive from today until June 15.
Now’s a good time to check the attic or basement for “that shirt you haven’t worn since forever” and child-safe toys you’ve outgrown.
Toys and clothing can be in used or unused condition; although we do require that they be free of stains, rips, previous owner modification and have all working parts in order.
Places and times you may drop off items for donation will either be directly to Forex Cargo of Long Beach (320 W. Willow St. Long Beach CA 90806) on regular business hours or dropped off during class at any of your designated training locations.
You may coordinate with Guro Toy directly: ExxMxxF@me.com
